I'm so old I Remember when:

Not in Denver. The adults in my house drank Coors.

Coors, sorry. Typo.
I stopped drinking Coors a number of years ago when one day we were on our way up into the mountains and stopped off in Golden for some reason or another. There I saw the massive Coors plant. It was sitting right next to and just downstream from the city of Golden waste management plant. While I'm sure both have complex and efficient filtration systems, I can't unsee what I saw and my mind won't let my taste buds enjoy it.

I don't know the history of Coors but I remember around 1963 or so was when I first heard of it in the Ft. Worth area but I wasn't into drinking at that point, so what did I know.
Eta: Isn't Denver where Coors is established?

Looks like a pretty big tree that was fell behind that sign.
Our local power corporation had hired a tree trimmer company to clear the power line right away. They trimmed the 200+ y/o Oak too much, within 2 years she was dead. She was too dangerous to leave standing, sadly, we hired a contractor to put her down. We used the Oak as firewood to keep our house warm for 3+ years.

Sad, the way it went out. Three years heat is a nice gift it gave you. I have an oak about that size that the wind blew over about ten months ago or so. The daughter insists I don't need to be tackling such things anymore, her husband would cut it up. Well, I'm still waiting.

Yep, One day I would fire up my Stihl and take care of it! 🙂

Sad!! I'm glad, however, that the tree provided for your home.

Well, I do hope your daughter's husband gets that tree taken care of for you.
