I'm so old I Remember when:

Oddly enough, I remember my parents' phone number form the home I grew up in - because you had to actually dial each and every number to connect - but could not tell you anyone's cell number - not relatives, not friends, not work. Just a name on a screen that fits in the palm of my hand.
Imagine trying to explain that to someone from the 70's or earlier ... I have a device that lets me talk talk to anyone in the world whenever I want, lets me play video games, read any book or watch movies 24/7 ... and it fits in the palm of my hand.

Thank you for this. You have no idea how needed this at this very moment. My brother and his wife are both fighting terminal cancer and my 92-year-old stepfather was hospitalized today with a very bad case of the flu.
We're going to be okay. Even if the healing doesn't come.

I have never heard of this!

We always stay up though and watch other people’s fireworks and eat Christmas cookies if there’s any. We used to go to church for a service but our current one doesn’t do that.
We go to church every New Year's Day.

I remember wing windows and round side mirrors.

We have vent windows in our 1995 F350. The vent windows were the easiest window to open when you locked your keys inside!

Decades ago I read about a country in SE Asia where, when a Lunar Eclipse occurred, the locals thought a dragon was devouring the Moon. The whole village turned out to bang pots, shoot firecrackers and fire automatic weapons at it. I heard there were fatalities, but overall it was successful. After about an hour the dragon had fled and the Moon was safe.
They do this in Thailand. I believe they thought a frog was the culprit. Being we had a place in town we got the full experience.
