I have been slowly gaining weight too..

No problems with constipation though. Depression... kinda. Its not that Im sad I just have this 'Why should I do this? No one cares' feeling all the time.

Try Gatorade. Maybe since you gave up soda, you are suffering from an electrolyte imbalance. Caffiene can do a number on you if you take in quantities of it. (As with soda drinking) Your Dr. can also prescribe lasix, a water pill, taken along with potassium. Good luck.

Are you getting enough protein? Try adding more protein sources, meat if you eat it, or something non meat that adds protein. Good luck, and maybe see the doc if it continues.

edited because things sounded better in my head than actually on screen.

Not everyone has a huge weight gain. You might only have 10 or so pounds. Yes the fluid can seem like it's in your belly. I would say that I really didn't even realize that I was depressed. I just thought I was tired until I started on the synthroid. Then about 5 days after starting it I seemed so happy again and had so much more energy. Hope you get to the bottom of it.

Here we have health fairs, put on by the local docs once a year where you can get tests at a reduced cost. Ours are in the spring so you might be able to find some where you are at.

For me, my exhaustion was lupus. I knew I had no energy but couldn't figure out why. I began to doubt myself (just being lazy, etc...). I finally got it checked out and MADE a doctor listen to me and not give up until we figured out what was going on. I didn't know how tired I had been until I actually started feeling better!

For my exhaustion, I take a Vit. B. complex, Magnesium, etc... Being tired like that is not a normal, healthy thing. It may not necessarilly be bad, but somthing might need some adjusting. I encourage you to look into it. Yes it will cost, but so will a long bout of "unhealthy"

Best wishes,
cowgirl

When I cut out sugar and sodas, I had a tough time adjusting for awhile. I was tired in the mornings to the point of exhaustion, and pretty much drudged along. It took probably a good month or so to get better. I still crave that caffeine and sugar. When I do have sugar now, I feel sick afterwards since I'm not used to it in my system. I did start to drink green tea instead, and that gave me a little boost.

not true. my 13 year old has low thyroid problems and she is at 112lbs. please try to get a physical to find out why you are tired. It's better to be safe than sorry

Ive felt a little tiny bit better but Im still pretty tired through the day.

My MIL took the babies this weekend and I tried to sleep in but something in me wont let me sleep over an hour after 6. I would be fine then maybe 30 mins later I was really tired again.

Maybe it could be Im just overly bored and feel like I have nothing to get up for.
