I'm so upset, I can't think straight...

So sorry aabout your horse. That is a long time to have any kind of friend. Hugs for you and hope everyday you feel better.

I'm so sorry. HUGS! I grew up with a Paint gelding from before I was born (My mom rode him while she was pregnant) until I was 21 years old. He was 28 years old and my mom had had him since a 2 year old. We both know how hard it is to loose a beloved horse that you have had so long. More Hugs for you.

I'm sorry for your loss Amy.

So sorry for you...my appy mare is 27 this year and I am getting more nervous every year. I got her when she was 1 year-old, but I worked with her when she was a baby, so I've known her all her life. She is my oldest friend. I will be a wreck when she dies....

Amy, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how devastated you must feel. This week I had to have my dearest kitty put to sleep, and the feeling is heart wrenching - waking in the morning expecting them to be there, and then realizing they're not. It does get easier after a time, and you begin to remember the good times rather than how much you miss them, but it does take time. And don't let anyone minimize your saddness - this was a being you had a heart connection with and to miss him and greive for him is normal and you should do it however you need to. I don't understand people who don't understand the love one can have for our furred and feathered friends.

May you know he watches over you, may the warm memories come soon, and may you meet again at the Rainbow Bridge. I know my kitty awaits me.
Hugs and Blessings to you,
Liz

I'm so very sorry. I have a beloved Appy too, and there's something about those quirky faces (and quirkier personalities!) that get under our skin. They're always there for their two-legged friends. I know. I've shed a lot of tears onto my guy's hide - today included.

I can only send you virtual hugs, but consider them the biggest.
