My husband got me this gorgeous Cochin Bantam as a day old chick for Valentine's Day. (Best hubbz ever)
I was convinced that it was a cockerel watching it grow. At about 2-3 weeks he had a big comb coming in and it was starting to get red....classic hints for a cockerel right? Well coming on 4 1/2 - 5 months old, he has yet to crow. Ok...so maybe he's special and doesn't know how or he just isn't a crower. Whelp just yesterday I went to scoop him up so I could snuggle him and when I went to do so he squatted! So here is my question. Is my gorgeous Cochin a roo or a hen? To me his comb screams roo compared to my other, but he squats!
I added a couple pics of him (face shot and one while he's squatting) and then one of my Partridge Cochin that is my best laying hen that I've been doing my comparison off of. Any help is greatly appreciated!
