I'm thankful than my sister and her husband are here visiting us. Wish we had our typical warm weather, though. She came for sun, and its been cloudy and cool.

I'm thankful for my great kids, who make me laugh every day.

I am thankful that my life is good. I do pause and acknowledge how lucky I am every day. I have a great life's companion, a secure job, a roof over my head, food in the fridge, gas in the tank of a running car, good friends . . .

AND CHICKENS!!!!!!

My freebie weekend at Skamania Ldoge on the Columbia River Gorge. DBF is not drawing a salary right now, so we didn't get a vacation. To make a long story short, we got a free trip from a friend who couldn't use it. It includes:

SATURDAY:
1:30 - cruise on the Columbia River not far from here:

Evening - Hors d'oeuvres reception

SUNDAY:
10a - Champagne brunch
12p - 18 holes of golf for DBF
3p - 1-hour massage for yours truly

I'm super duper thankful that it's Friday!! Been a rough week at work.

I'm thankful for so many things... good health, DH having a steady job (that's been iffy way to often the past few years), being able to help DH out by bringing in extra money by sewing and webdesign, and for socks (first time we've needed a jacket or socks here in Alabama).

I'm thankful the temperature finally got back above the mid 70s. Wow, I always forget how hard cold weather is for me . . . I guess I'm also thankful my favorite thing to wear is sweaters. If it was tank tops I'd be in trouble

I am thankful that my chicks made it through the night when the bulb in their heat lamp burnt out in their coop. It was really cold last night!
