I'm thankful for _________ this week.

I am so very grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who has blessed me with the best woman in the world for a wife, 7 wonderful kids and a way to make a living.

I'm thankful that I wasn't near my moron(son)-in-law when he did another stooooopid thing yesterday. It saved me from going to jail.

I am thankful for a Heavenly Father who loves me and gives me the blessing of being an at home mom (especially these days in time) who can homeschool my 5 children. I am also thankful that I have a wonderful husband who loves and supports me in this ambition.

Wow, I'm thankful for a bunch of things... but today...

I'm thankful for my family
I'm thankful for my new job
I'm thankful for my pets and their health
I'm thankful for having a home over my head
I'm thankful for the people in my DDs life who have tried to help us with her unusual condition
I'm thankful for the people on this forum who have been a great deal of support with their limitless knowledge of chickens and more!

These are just a few things...

I am so thankful for my children and my husband. We were told we'd never have children, so we decided to do foster care. After our oldest daughter was in our home for a month, we found out I was pregnant. After our baby was four months old, our two boys came into our home. We love our four children more than they may ever know. We are so blessed to have them. My husband is my light. He loves me so unconditionally. I'm thankful to live in a country where we are free to raise our children the way we feel is best. I am grateful that my husband has a job and that he never complains about working 15 hour days. I am grateful my husband loves me enough to put up with all of my animals. I am so thankful that I have a loving heavenly father that has blessed me with all I have.

I am thankful today (and every day) for a wonderful husband who works two jobs so I can be a stay at home mom to our three children. One of his jobs just happens to keep him away from us right now because he is active duty Air Force.....while he gets sad being away from his family for so long he never complains. I am thankful that he is a loving and kind father to our boys even though I had our oldest two when we met. I am thankful he loved them enough to adopt them and make them truly his.

I am thankful that my children are kind and respectful, and brilliant. I am thankful that they are strong and confident enough to stand up for their rights and what they believe even though it is hard sometimes living here and being different from most of their friends. They are amazing children and I make sure I let them know that every day.

I am thankful for my beautiful chickens who will follow me all over the yard even knowing I don't have treats just because they enjoy my company....and will sit with me doing their sweet little chatter thing....telling me about their day I suppose.

I am thankful for my warm, soft, kitties, my smooth, cool snakie, our fluffy little hamsters, my dog's cold nose and waggy tail, and all the little creepy crawly creatures who my children adore.

I am thankful that I have great friends and family who love me.

I look around and realize I have a very full, very rich life. For that I am thankful always....to everyone in my life who works together making it possible.

I am thankful for this week, and last week, and any other week I'm alive, considering, you know, the alternative

Also in a more minor but still significant way I am thankful for fowltemptress having started this thread, for exactly the reasons she states in her initial post

Pat

A year and a half ago, I came very close to bleeding to death in a hospital, while under 'observation' for four hours after a miscarriage. A head nurse felt her paperwork more important than my nurse's concerns for my ebbing life. Until I turned grey and had no blood pressure.....

I'm so, so so grateful that I'm alive! Every day is a gift even with the day to day stupidity of high gas prices, food prices, bills and election news.

I'm grateful for my husband and children who I love so much and who love me. For my country that welcomed my family two generations ago and let them go from desitute poverty to having the freedom to work hard for what they have, and the gifts that they passed on to me. For my faith, which gives me strength to get out of bed when things get too hard and to be nice to those I'd rather slap silly.

That we always have enough. Not always what we want, but always what we need.
