Awesome coop, TDM!! Just to make sure...do you leave it on the wheels, and attach a chicken ladder or something for the birds to get in and out?
Thanks. There is an eight foot ramp that connects to the side pop door for the birds to go in and out. The coop is built on a hay wagon running gear, and remains attached to the steel frame with heavy bolts. I have four hundred feet of electric poultry netting that will surround the hen house to contain and protect the hens. Every three days or so, I will move the coop to a new location with my tractor.
This is their permanent home. Later this year the coops will be insulated and moved to a secure location for the winter.
Considering the fact that I am getting these running gears for $100, there is little incentive, if any, to build stationary coops.

We've had high winds on three occasions now, and it's good to go. Last night there were gusts up to 40 MPH, so you can keep your hopes grounded. LOL I really like this design over the Salatin. I think from here on out, hoops are the way to go for me.

Still waiting for pictures...
Our camera is MIA or I would have had one posted the day it hit the pasture.
