Immediate advice! Our pigeon got out!

As mentioned above, without knowing a lot more about the type, age, flying experience, type of cage or housing, it's hard to advise. In general, pigeons try to return to their home roost.

is it still in the area? Is it homeset? If so, leave the loft door open, and put the other birds in a cage right by the open door. Put in a small amount of food but not enough where it gets full.

it would be nice to get more info if you can!

hope this helps!

If your pigeon is still in the area and has a preferred perch, you can use a rudimentary trap called a noose-carpet. this design is made from a piece of metal mesh or small-holed chicken wire, snare-knots are tied to the metal base, and then this is wrapped around a round surface or placed flat on the ground. When a bird walks over or pearches, it's feet are snarred.
Unfortunately, this method of trapping is not without risks. if you are using this type DO NOT take your eyes off of the rigged area. I have caught pigeons this way, so if you would like to proceed with this method- let me know!
