I wonder if mama would be more likely to accept baby if you first took one baby away from her, let the two babies snuggle for a minute, then put both babies under her together? That would transfer some scent to the new baby, scent of mama and scent of her own baby. Has anybody tried this?

with the external pip she may take a small break but the inside can dry out too make sure it's not drying out from crack it can take up to 12 excruciating hours if they are really tired while others do it in 30-60 minutes

It could take up to 24hrs sometimes. Keep a bulb near it and away from drafts/air condition etc
In all actually, it could hatch in a toasty brooder. You will need to set up one anyway.
NO BROODER IS COMPLETE WITHOUT A THERMOMETER.
