Dona Worry
Crowing
I pulled away part of the shell, but only what was not attached to the inner membrane, which I left intact. So far, so good--she is still moving, no bleeding.

I would replace the damp towel with a dry one if I were you. A wet towel touching the egg can actually give it a chill. You could maybe microwave a cup of water to get it steaming and set it in the car to increase the humidity in there if you wanted to.COME ON COOKIE!
Don't pull any more off, if too much is gone it won't be able to brace itself to zip. Like others have said, it may take 24 hours until you see progress. Good luck!I pulled away part of the shell, but only what was not attached to the inner membrane, which I left intact. So far, so good--she is still moving, no bleeding.
Oh...that's a good idea!
warm water and make sure you don't get it in her nostrils, that inner membranes is drying out , this will help so she doesn't become shrink wrapped. looks like you removed more shell so you will have to help her out, it's a slow process and if theres any bleeding you'll want to stop.
