Hello! I brought in my five year old Cochin a couple days ago because I noticed her crop was full and solid in the morning, about a little smaller than a baseball. I kept her inside on only water and grit the first day, treating her for an impacted crop, which she’s had in the past.
The second day her crop was still solid but had shrunk to the size of a golf ball. I kept her on water and she had a couple bites of yogurt. I massaged her crop a couple more times, and kept her inside another night.
The third day her crop was about the same size but instead of hard now it was soft. I gave her a scrambled egg with olive oil later in the day.
Today is the fourth day inside and this morning her crop is even smaller than a golf ball and still pretty soft, but still present despite basically not eating for four days.
How should I move forward? Her poops have been big and healthy, she is extremely active and seems to be impatient to go outside again.
The photo attached is a poop from this morning.
Thank you so much for any help!
