Impacted Crop or Just the norm for this Hen? Please look at Pic

Golden Buff almost 6 months old.
* Very Large Crop
* still eats as usual
* is drinking water - I added probiotics to the water today
* is pooping normaly
* behavior is normal - she's very friendly
* has access to grit and I watched her ingest a good bit today
* crop decreases about 50% in size by the AM - not completely flat but decreases a good 50%
* I do believe she may have decreased egg laying - but then, she also just started so I don't know her "norm"

I do think this is very large but given her lack of other symptoms...should I be worried ?

Not sure - but try looking up pendulous crop. She may just be built different.

That's what mine looks like - but mine is a 4 month old cockerel... His is definitely a swollen thing - like a bubble of fluid or air, not hard and solid. I just posted this morning looking for advice...

She looked better this morning as always so I'll keep watching her closely for any symptoms of illness. She's been this way for awhile so I'm wondering if she's just a little piggy and has stretched it out that big? hmmm

Things are much much better. The extra grit seems to have greatly improved things.
