Hi. I had this morning a Delaware cockerel with an Impacted crop. He hadn't had much to eat, and his crop was hard as a rock. I did what many on this site (i've been reading and Observing from afar) and gave him bread soaked in Oil, as he was eating (he ate it really good) i was massaging his crop, and I could feel the hardness softening. Afterwords, he seemed quite a bit more perky, and even got a drink. Should I treat him again with this bread/oil mix just to be safe?

Also, his poop this morning was quite normal... I know because it went onto my Tank top...

You want to keep up with the oil until the hardness has passed thru him. If you can use a syringe to get the oil down, it would be better. That way you are not adding to the food that needs to be passed. About 3cc's. Massage the crop well. I would do this at least 2 times a day. With hold all food for 24 hours or until the thing passes.
