I noticed my chicken had an impacted crop on Friday. I thought we were about past it earlier, the doctor gave us Cisapride to assist with crop motility. But now, I think she has sour crop. It’s like a balloon filled with air. I’m so worried because she hasn’t had the ability to eat much of anything since Thursday or Friday. I gave her diluted apple cider vinegar just now. She had a bit of egg yolk and watered down food this afternoon. But she’s dying to get out of this crate and I’m afraid to withhold food and water for 24 hours. What is the best treatment for sour crop? I just need to get her past this. Is there anything I can give her for nutrition?
