Impacted Crop?

So is she gurgling when she breathes in and out? That would be rales or the noise made when there is mucus in the airways. That is a symptom of respiratory illness, such as mycoplasma or others. Gurgling when the crop is massaged could be the crop. If you think there is a respiratory disease, look for nasal drainage, watery eyes, swelling around the eye or face, and gasping. Here is a list of respiratory diseases--MG, coryza, IB, and ILT are more common: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044

You are very helpful, thank you so much!

When I held her to look in her mouth, she got upset and started to make a gurgle. But when I hold her to tight or squeeze her crop slightly, she gurgles. Otherwise, she seems fine, but does sleep in the hay not on the roost (the roost Is hay level tho, so she might have just found hay more comfortable)

She was super hungry, I gave her scambled eggs (I almost lost my fingers, she was super hungry!) and I gave her a small handful of pellets so when she lays she doesn't have problems there either. I hope feeding her was okay, I gave her just a bit so she didn't have a full crop which might make her worse.

I would probably let her eat what she wants if her crop mostly empties by morning. Tylan 50 injection, Gallimycin, and tetracyclines are the usual drugs to treat respiratory disease. I posted about the possibility of becoming a carrier in your other thread.

Thanks you. I thought I heard my silkie wheeze, but she was fine when I examined her.

I will have to run to the feed store tomorrow then. I will give her small portions of food at a time do she gulp everything down and choke!

Thank you so much Eggcessive!
