Impacted or partially blocked crop in chick?

You are welcome - a side note with the grit - the hatchery said to offer it in a separate dish and not to mix it with the food so she wouldn't eat too much of it when eating the food, and to make sure you use chick grit.

Glad to hear your chick is a good size, Nugget being smaller was our indicator and by then she was behind in size and is playing catch up. Hoping the info helps!

So glad to know this because I was never sure if I should put the grit in chick food OR leave it separate like you do with pullet/chickens. I did sprinkle in with the food but VERY little; I guess it was because I wasn't really sure. I actually have a chick that had to be syringe fed for her first few days and so she is tiny. She is eating and drinking, holding her own with the other chicks BUT she is a tiny one. Have you been doing anything with yours to specifically put on weight?

I had done the same with the grit! It was good to have clarification on it from the hatchery.

Just offering the nutra drench, moving her by the food/dipping her beak in water multiple times a day, and offering the egg/some veggies. She didn't seem to go for the eggs but would eat food more if she had her own pile. I also tried "pecking" at the ground with my finger and it seems to stimulate them all to eat.

I will start of with the scramble eggs and see what happens. Thank you.
