So I have a one year old Silke hen. She has a swollen crop but it is very mushy like a water ballon. Her breath does not smell however. She still eats and drinks fine and acts normal. What could this be? If so how can I treat her?? And what causes sour and impacted crop?

A mushy crop could also be called a slow crop. Sour crop could be caused by a fungal infection. However I had a hen with a slow mushy crop and I finally took her to the vet because she was loosing weight, and it turned out she had a bacterial infection of the crop. In other words it can be hard to know the cause with out an exam.

You could try the apple cider vinegar or yogurt techniques for fungal infection that are discussed on many threads here to see if those help, but if they don't you might need need to consider other causes.
