Imprinting question.....

i have already introduced them, they do very well together but.....I AM HER MUM! sounds weird but I AM!
She thinks the ducks are "ok" but she is a "human".....
She goes shopping with me in the car and sits in the seat and preens herself.......she does EVERYTHING with me....you must understand she is mostly "human" don't tell me she isn't......i know she is a duck but its from her point of view.......thanks for the replies!

My dad has 4 ducks. He will go down to the pond with cracked corn and .... I swear to God he hollers, "Here Ducky, Ducky, Ducky!" And they all come running. Their tails wagging as they run, and they are the most ungraceful thing to see run that ive ever seen. I laugh every time. When we get our new house I want a boat load of chickens, and a handful of ducks.

Don't need to, you are projecting human behaviors onto an animal to satisfy your own emotional needs to an extent that the animal is not getting what it needs.
It's called anthropomorphism and I have a pet(haha) peeve against it.
Mostly I bite my tongue(fingers) and move on.
But not today, sensitivity due to the anniversary of my sons death coming up soon may have pushed me over the edge this time(maybe another misplacement of human emotion), sorry.
