In a bit of a predicament

I love it.

Well.... I have some official news on sweet Annabelle. I definitely have the GENDER correct. But boy was I off on AGE.
Our little surprise this morning:

Ok, that being the case... Can I put her in with Noah full time and let them work their issues? She wants to be near but he keeps biting her feathers and neck and stuff. Maybe just let him have his way with her and the relationship will smooth out? Maybe he keeps biting her and stuff because he wants to mate with her really bad and he's trying to get her to come closer to him and submit? Idk.

Lmao! Now that I see an egg, she looks very girly to me
How could we have ever considered her a boy? She’s so pretty. I just bet that Noah wants to claim her as part of his group. Maybe after the pond is clean? Water mating seems to be a bit less rough.
I am working on that now. I just got done filling up their water dishes and hosing out their pool. It’s filling back up now. I’m going to bring her in to this side shortly. We’ll see how it goes. :fl

Any update?

Im hoping everybody is getting along well!

Noah just won’t stop picking at her. He mated with her twice while I was out there. She gladly submits to him but he still is biting at her neck and wings. She’d tried to bath and he nips at her to get her to stop. He’d leave her alone for a few once they got out of the pool because they were all preening. Then he’d start in on her again. Wasn’t anything that looked damaging so I just tried to stay out of it in the hopes that he’d get it out of his system. It’s hard to watch tho because I just want to protect her and make him stop being a jerk! But I know I need to let them work thru it. I stayed out there with them for 1hr-1 1/2hr before I went back inside for a bit. I got chilled and needed to put some dry clothes on and warm up. I made sure she knew where the food was before I left tho. I went to check on them a couple of times to make sure everyone was ok. Had to take care of some errands. I went back out there a little bit ago to check on her again and just observe them. Noah won’t let her in the pool. I had to hold him and let her get in the pool first before putting him down earlier. I noticed that she was walking around a bit slow. I have her in the tub right now getting cleaned off. I am going to bring her in for the next couple of nights still. I don’t trust him with her in the coop yet. I might have pushed the integration a tad bit today. I’ll continue to work with them all and hopefully it won’t be too long before I have 4 happy duckies.
