I've been lurking on this thread for a LONG while, and as much as it pains me I've gotta give up on seeing the realized Emerald Dragon for a few more years...so I did the next best thing and sketched up what I -think- you might be going for?

Thinking about adding Dark Cornish Games to the project for meatiness, but I'd only need 1 breeding in the first generation to pass on the trait to the next.

Brahma/EE X Dark Cornish X Brahma/EE

Breed the first combo Brahma/EE to Dark Cornish, then Back Cross to Brahma/EE.

This should create a better body structure with a decently meaty build. I don't want the meatiness to be excessive though, because I don't want to impair natural breeding.


I'll take the back crossed F1, & use that in the stabilizing breeding process before I cross to Silkie/Sumatra stabilized half.

Certain Breed Traits for new breed

EE for green eggs

Cornish for meatiness, & added game body structure.

Brahma for larg size, 2½ - 3ft tall

Silkie for black skin, & walnut comb

Sumatra for long black shiny sleek plumage, & game body structure.

Good idea?

You just about described fibromelanistic Ohiki to a tee, a few breeders have them here in the US already but they are very rare. Regular Ohiki are also very hard to come by and match your description perfectly as well, with the exception of them not having feathered feet and black skin. I don't have or breed any Ohiki, the only reason I know about them is because they're a longtailed breed. Here's a few pics from the web in case anyone is interested (Maybe your drawing would have looked something similar to this, I think convergent ideas is interesting when it comes to poultry!) -

They're a very rare breed here in the US and could actually use some more people who are serious about preserving and improving the breed.

Are they bantams? If so I want one, there very pretty.

Instead of silkie I'd look at svart honas for the black skin, then you won't get the feathered legs. But you'd need to find a different breed for the walnut comb.
Do you think the ee's might add too much of a wild card, due to their mixed breeds?

The only problem with Svart Honas is that they're incredibly expensive
