In an emergency, is it safe to eat the geese at my local park?

Agreed, and so did the USA. Doesn't mean it HAD to go down that way. The point is, it's not like electricity is required for a cohesive society or even a highly functional one. People all over the globe did without electricity for an awfully long time in groups of more than 30 and it's silly to think that removing it would change the fact that humans will most assuredly organize into groups of more than 30.
Once things settle down and people die off..... things would regroup. Think 1800’s America.

The baby and mother mortality rate might go up as well, since there won’t be many available nurses and doctors that can help. Especially if you need a C section.

That's probably true. But c-sections have been around for thousands of years.

And just because nurses go away doesn't mean that things like sterilization and hand washing go away. That knowledge sticks around. So it won't go back to medieval times levels of mortality or even 200 years back.

I know but it would not compare to now.

That's true. But it still wouldn't be the 50/50 risk it was in the 1800s or anything. And like I mentioned - if you can organize and get the right people you might be surprised at what sort of drugs you can make with some basic lab equipment and a few solar panels for electricity.
