For the person who seems to be incensed at this, I don't mean that I'll actually grind up horse pancreases unless those are the only ones that I can find. I think that pig pancreases can also be used, but I haven't looked into it much.

Partner actually did a bunch of lab work on this stuff as an intern in highschool with his dad who was doing diabetes research. It can be done with minimal lab equipment. You could replicate injectable insulin in a survival scenario assuming all glass and metal and electronics haven't been stolen by aliens.

By this point, I highly doubt that aliens will be coming around -- they haven't yet, and looking at how nuts the world is, I can't really say that I much blame them.
(If they even exist.)
And there's that harsh side of me that rarely comes out.
Really though, it's cool that your partner got to work on this stuff. It sounds really neat!

My dad liked to travel but his health did not permit it so I thought he might enjoy webcams and it turns out he did indeed.
That was the main reason, I didn't want him sitting inside getting depressed.

Super cool he got to do that stuff! I want to pursue work in the medical or science field since those have always interested me and I’ve always been good at science. I expect what I want to be to change though since I still have a bit before even college not too long ago I wanted to be a botanist.
