Very valid, @Goosebaby, though if the world as we know it does end, those geese are 100% on the menu for me, even if I don't know what I'm doing. :p
The point was to kill it, don’t leave it to suffer because the “Hunter” lost the heart to do it, and don’t kill a bird just because of a perceived notion that the worlds ending, like right now for example. It’s just cruel and idiotic.

candyland is genuinely bad because it's predetermined and teaches nothing.

You must not have played enough board games with toddlers :lau

Candyland can teach basic game-playing skills for young kids who are just learning (ages between about 1 and 4 years, depending on the child.)

To play, you have to recognize that it is your turn, then you do something (draw a card), then you look at the card and do the right something else (move your piece) and sometimes something else yet (climb a ladder, fall down a slide, etc.)

When a kid still has trouble remembering to draw a card and move their piece, they are hopeless at games that require any amount of decisions or strategy. (But they see the big people playing games and want to play too, so it's nice to have something they really can understand. Any given child outgrows Candyland in a relatively short time, but it's good to have during that time.)

And when people get a bit more mature, Candyland can be used to explain what a "predetermined game" is, because it is such a perfect example :gig
