In case you every wondered...what a difference my robot has made!!!

Verlaj, I am so happy you are enjoying DDD. I hope someone comes back with the long haired dog answer, otherwise you should ask the company.

Mine does pretty well on my upstairs non industrial bedroom carpet also.

Maybe someday I'll get the Scooba. I mop about every other day but I don't mind it as much as dragging out the big old Electrolux for some reason.

I wish I would get paid to sell them. I am thinking about buying a tiny restaurant for sale down the road and I would definitely get a commercial model plus a scooba if that happened. So far my restaurant would also sell roombas, horse tack and local folk art & paintings, so maybe that is a little unrealistic.

Okay - now I want a Scooba, too!

My DDD picked up a surprising amount of fine dirt and hair from the tile foyer this morning while I was showering, then I put it to work in the kitchen again and left the house! I actually think it is better than my expensive vacuum at picking up the fine dirt and sand from the floor. It definitely is GREAT at getting the dog hairs that cluster around the feet of chairs! I used to vacuum, then have to manually get those hairs from around the feet!

It is so pleasing to know that the floors are being swept while I do something infinitely more fun!

I am also so happy that my beloved likes it too - he is fascinated by how it maneuvers. He suggested this a.m. that we need the virtual walls!! I see upgrades in store, then the Scooba! Yay!

Silkiechicken, Do you ever wish it would suck up the guy that sells the Dysons, Mr Dyson I guess.

He has the haughty sort of superior attitude, like the Virgin Airlines, Branson guy.

Anyway..I have no idea either.. never had one

I don't know about the Roomba, but the Dirt Dog doesn't suck, it sweeps. Whether it is as good as a Dyson - don't know; I've got a Simplicity vacuum. One thing it has over the Dyson (and the Simplicity, and any other vacuum I've ever had) is that a human being (me) has to push the Dyson around! Give me the Dirt Dog any day!

I expect delivery on the 6th!!!
I can't wait.

Is this what a father feels like waiting for his baby?

I asked my Dad what it was like waiting for me, He said it was a feeling of impending doom.......

This morning, (0530) I hear this crash....BANG!

I go downstairs, (.38 in hand) and find my flag pole on the floor and the Irobot running for the kitchen.

Then I remember....it's 0530 PM NOT 0530 AM, Guess I goofed....

Anyway, I watched it go for a while. It got trapped under the dining table, bouncing off the chairs for a few minutes,

then I saw it get frustrated, slow way down and inch by inch turn around the table leg until it was free, then it scurried off to the living room. Sort of creepy.

I realize it's too thick to go under the sofa. (I need a new sofa anyway LOL)

Cats are terrified.

Wife is suspicious. (It's WATCHING me...) LOL!

When I left for work it was in the kitchen again, cleaning under the sink.
We'll see if it's still in the house when I get home...
