Huh... im not sure what that could be.
Do they have deep enough water to dunk their whole head in and clean out their nose?
They arent under to much heat are they?
Can they get far away from the heat lamp?

It's 85 degrees in their space with a spot for shade. They now have a way to wash their heads but did not for the first 4 days. The little guy is now shaking his head and sleep a lot. As of right now I fear he won't make it through the night. This is also our first time with ducks so we are in the middle of a harsh and unnecessary learning curve.

It appears to have a bad infection.....It possibly was caused by not providing deep enough water to keep its nares and eyes cleared...:(......Sorry this is happening to your Duckling.....
I hope it has not passed on yet...:(......If you can?....Take it to a Vet....

Best wishes....:)

It survived the night! We will take it to a vet now and see if he can be saved. Without groups like this people would never know how to take proper care of animals. All the research I did before getting ducks not once did I hear deep water for them to dip their head into. I actually read the opposite! That they could die in water more than half an inch so not to put deep water in. Hopefully we cought this in time. Thank you all

Is there any treatment I could give for this infection? I called the vets we have and they're all 150 or more! It's a bit more than I have at the moment and I feel if this duck has to wait for my financial situation it may be too late.

What do you have at home any triple antibiotic ointment or neo? also make a waterer like in the link I gave you then put some ACV in it 1 teas per 2 cups of water.

Sorry...It will need to see a Vet because what is happening looks very serious...:(......Anyone could tell you to try something and then you may end up misinformed again...:(

I strongly suggest the Vet is your best bet...:)

Best wishes...:)
