In desperate need of advice!

Thanks you all for the info! I will keep you posted! I will also make that waterer as suggested because I have now seen and heard that several times lol. Thank you again.

That's what we originally thought but then it started on the other side. Now she is shaking her head often and sleeps a lot. And while sleeping she chirps like maybe in pain or something idk. I got these ducks from Tractor Supply because chickens were so fun and I've always wanted ducks but never knew how much harder they are then chickens! We have so many little animals on our homestead but these ducks are the hardest lol.

I agree with miss lydia i would add some apple cider vinegar to the water
Hopefully the deep water and that combined will start to help :(

I will be praying.

You can place small stones or large marbles in the plastic waterer so they cant tip it over.

It's 85 degrees in their space with a spot for shade. They now have a way to wash their heads but did not for the first 4 days. The little guy is now shaking his head and sleep a lot. As of right now I fear he won't make it through the night. This is also our first time with ducks so we are in the middle of a harsh and unnecessary learning curve.

Also may want to make sure the shaded spot is alot cooler...
like 10-15 degrees at least.
85 is pretty warm and mine only liked this about the first 4-5 days and by a couple weeks old mine really didnt like it much more than 70-75 for sleeping at night otherwise ran all over in the rest of the coop where it was much cooler. Like 50-60 degrees.
With breathing funny/ and the nose infection just be sure he is really able to get out of that much heat if he needs too.

My friend I got my little Calls from has seen that before.....He sold Call Ducklings to a lady and she only watered them from a bowl...He said to separate or Block off the Infected Duckling and mix ACV in water deep enough for the Duckling to clean its nares..Then apply an antibiotic cream and remove all water sources and feed..You will have to feed the duckling a soupy mix of feed and water...Make sure the last thing it does before removing water is clean its face and nares..Then reapply the cream.....He says it is time consuming but her little Duckling lived....:)...Many feedings a day...I hope it gets better...:)
