You should force liquids on her, get someone to help you if you can't do it one-handed. Get a syringe (no needle) or an eyedropper, have someone hold open her beak, and stick it down past her tongue before pushing fluids in. This is VERY important, PAST the base of the tongue. The entryway to their lungs is near there, and you want to be past them so you don't accidentally drown her. Wrap her in a towel so she doesn't struggle, but it sounds like she's weak enough that might not be necessary.

Using the above method, you can also force antibiotics on her, which I recommend. But right now she will desperately need fluids above anything else.

Also if she isnt taking much food or water whats the best way in giving her the antibiotics?

Would you know the name of the antibiotics she may need?

Feel silly as we are really new to this and not sure what to do we feel helpless

I give all medications by mouth or injection, never in water. Most feed stores have an antibiotic called Tylan. It's not labeled for use in poultry, but many people use it.

X2... But you need to do it very carefully with just a little at a time, make sure her crop is clearing and don't give any fluids until you're sure she is warm.

Get some electrolytes for the water too. It will help...a dropper will help like they said.....

Pedialyte would be even better than water. Maybe send someone to get some while you give the water.

FYI, my 850 gram hen has had about 70cc's since 8am. Remember to give just a little at a time.

Does sound like Bronchitis / upper respirtory. It would be a good idea to medicate the whole coop.
