IN TEARS--ENTIRE HATCH RUINED! UPDATED

102 is definitely not an issue with the still air incubator. I also wouldn't be too concerned about a temp like that with forced air either, unless it was for a very long period of time. I had hatches from a forced air that reached 105 - not a good hatch, but some still made it. I would candle in a few days to see how the eggs are doing.

Every one has been giving you good advise-there's no reason to think a temp of 102 will ruin a hatch. Let the go-they should do fine.
I've had temps go higher w/o any ill effect. Recently we had a power outage-I had 250 eggs in the incubator. Three different batches. The temp in the incubator was down to 55 degrees for a few hours & I still got as good a hatch as I would have expected w/o a problem. The hatch was a little late & slow for all 3 batches-otherwisw ok.

Ya do not give up I would think hens temp go up and down sometimes..

Sending happy thoughts for good hatch to you..

Last week I had a hatch of 3 chicks out of 5 that went through two temp spikes of 105, dont worry, hatch them babies.

I wouldnt worry at all. Anything over 103 you should be concerned about. Even then you could have a good chance of hatching them out. I have had my forced air get to 102.8 and all the little chicks hatched just fine. So relax, Im sure they will be okay.

When I got home from work last hatch, I saw my temp had spiked up to 110!!!!!!!!! Dont know how long it had been that way but all of them hatched out that night, 1 day early, except 1 that died in the shell. I had 8 pretty babys!!!

I agree w/everyone else. Don't cry! Getting used to these new LGs of mine & having a cold front come in mine spiked to 110 (I dunno for how long) in their first days & we are now @ 2 weeks and they are developing great! I certainly wouldn't be worried about 2.3*
