Don't give up. It all depends on what the inside core temp was on the eggs. They are probably fine. I wouldn't get too upset yet. Where I live the days get to be 110 degrees and my hens still set. All my eggs still hatch though. Try not to worry. Hang in there!

I was going to answer each person individually, but decided this would be quicker.

THANK YOU for your support & ideas...

I made sure the bators were back to 99.5 & 100 degrees before I left for work this morning....I didn't throw out the eggs.

I have decided it was not the end of the world (although it felt like it at the time) and I'll wait a few days & candle them and see if there are any survivers.

Maybe I need to pipe some "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gayner into my spare bedroom where the eggs are?

You poor thing - what an emotional experience. Especially with those Sebastopol eggs in there...I'm sure it will all work out in the end.

Candle tonight and you can probably tell, if not just put a ? mark on them and wait til the 19th then. That would make day 14th candling on the chicken eggs?.. don't give up...

Also, what can I use to candle these darker eggs & the tough shells of the geese? I tried an LED headlamp last night but couldn't tell what I was looking at?? Or for? LOL I know the last time I hatched out Muscovies, I could see a "bean" thing in there (darker looking) and some red veins...but those eggs are lighter in color then my brahmas/cochins..
