In the emergency of a natural disaster where do you move your chickens?

Hi guys. Just giving u an update wether u want one or not. The south coast is Very Very much burning, they have lost like 7 people there over the last few days. Mum watches the app and stuff on Facebook so she knows. At the moment containment lines have stopped it but it is still very much a risk with the weather there due to be extremely hot and offer no relief. We are assuming all the resources will be sent down the coast to help protect the snowy mountains as they are now coming under threat. My friends are keeping me updated. So with the majority of the resources down there, the likelihood of it getting out of control is quite high

Indescribably awful.
Have been reading in the news that lot of these fires were set intentionally?
Also that preventative measures of clearing deadwood has been squashed by the gov't for years.
Which if either are true makes it way beyond awful or any other description.

Yep. The government won’t let the firies burn off in winter which then leads to this. People are dying, and they just can’t control these fires. It’s making life hard. The smoke they say it’s as bad as smoking 60 packs of cigarettes a day! Imagine what that’s going to do to our health. Lots of dumb people who think it’s funny. A fire down near Taree was started by a 9 year old playing with a blow torch. Where was that kid’s parents?

This has all happened before back in 2002 and again 2009. They never burned off fire fuel. 2009 holds records for the most fatalities and I still remember that harrowing day that is black Saturday! After each one they swore they would never again prevent burning off or stock grazing on the excess fuel. But 12 or so months later everyone appears to have forgotten and slamms the government for "destroying the environment" by burning these off. Has more damage not now been done? As of last night there was 28 reported missing. I am currently grieving the loss of someone from my cattle family. I am at the angry stage. Right now I am furious at our government. I am furious at the greens who said you can not burn, You are damaging the environment! And I am furious at those who did not listen to the aboriginals, who they themselves use to burn of excess fire fuel long before the english invaded this beautiful land. As state of emergency has been declared and the RFS is incharge of the whole state, things are finally being done right. Help is being provided. @Butterscotchbitesfinger I am thankful you are an ocean away this week end. And I pray your home is safe to return to once you return home.

Oh my gosh I am so so sorry to hear you have lossed a loved one. For now we are safe and as is everyone at home. Back burning has stopped the fire for now.

It is. It’s awful. In Canberra my mother’s friend said you can’t breathe outside because the air is to toxic and can lead to bad lung issues.

Have you seen the satellite photos? The Kiwis have been copping the smoke from our fires for several days now. I don't recall ever hearing of that happening before.

That's smoke, not cloud...:(
