Well Oz chic, there's your problem. You need to buy an umbrella to leave at home

Oh I would hate to see that, it would be too heart breakingWe just went for a drive to the hill. So many homes were lost, so much rubble. Awful! Just awful. We saw where they burned containment lines to stop it spreading down to us. Gawd it’s so scary, this fire was HUGE!!!

Thanks. For now we are okay.I'm so sorry for what you are experiencing now. I live in the town, Paradise, CA that burned down Nov 8, 2018. The fire moved so fast that we didn't have the chance to get our chickens out (about 60). We got our horses and dogs and while I put cages in my truck to take them, there just wasn't time. Honestly, I don't know what I would have done with them. We spent the first few nights in our truck at an Indian Casino in one of the towns next to us. When the fire was threatening that town we were finally able to get to my daughters house in another joining town. We, along with about 50,000 people were evacuated for a month. Our house didn't burn but it was right up to our doorstep and we lost about a dozen chickens. We just filled the food and water and the firefighters helped while we were evacuated. Make sure you leave a note on your door that you have livestock and they need food and water. We are a firefighter family and they will do what they can. Best of luck.
WOW doesnt sound good, nothing here so far, Dust wise. Was clear out side, was windy though, had to go out and save the dog from a feral tarp that was chasing him.I didn't take a photo this time... but theres a horrendous dust storm raging through nsw right now. I wouldn't be suprised if it strecthed from one end of state to the other. 10km up from us went from day to night in 4 minutes. We were lucky to have the rain but not everyones faired so well

lines and they arced and set the paddocks on fire...a bit of excitement we don’t need.
but on the radar there is this...now if we miss out on rain again tonight...well i will just give up.
