In the Homemade Bator Genre-Presenting the Fridge-a-Bator!

We're testing it out today and right now, we don't have water in it. It's maintaining the temps very well. Naturally, it's a different ballgame when the water goes in, but we'll see. Im waiting for the silicone to dry around the window before adding too much humidity in it.

OMGoodness Cyn that is too cool... LOL... should we have a contest on building bators LOL.... I will probably get DH to start building one if I tell him I have entered us in a contest

you think it will work??? hee hee... I am so bad.

Honestly Cyn and Missprissy you both have taught me alot building these and showing pics.

Question - Will a Rubbermaid Cooler work? Were thinking of doing it in one of them. That way we do not have to worry about Styrofoam and it breaking apart... 4 kids in the house + Styrofoam = BROKEN

Also, I do not have any corks, what are they used for and where might I get some besides buying the stuff? Or can I use something else?!?!

Awesome job Cyn, I'm so jealous!!!!!!!!

Priss, do you have a link to that? I must have missed it. I hope this one works well. My eggs in the bator (just 5) are only on Day 10 so we have a few days to work it out if there are any kinks. I have already changed the lightbulb to a 40 watt and put a piece of aluminum under the glass water pan to deflect the most intense heat from directly on the eggs. We had forgotten we had a deflector in the wooden bator so now that is remedied.

Yes, Lee, on the side and on the back near the bottom, plus one hole behind the fan in the upper left and the 1" hole on top that we can cork and uncork. Hopefully, there will be enough airflow with those; if not, we can drill a couple more. I think the drill bit was 1/4" or so.
