So we purchased a bunch of chicks on impulse during first week of March. It was pretty cold out at the time and we decided to raise them indoor in our spare room since the garage is not heated and coop was not ready. Boy was that a mistake.
Every week it got worse....and worse...and worse. My wife's Michael Kors clothing and too-many-to-count shoes suffered the wrath of this dust storm. Every object in the room had to be taken outside to be blown off and then dusted with a duster, inside and out. I had to configure the shop vac so the exhaust was routed out of the window otherwise it blew up another dust storm. It literally took all day to clean this one small room.
So all you fine folks here take my advice: do not raise chicks in the house.
