Nicky, when I took Missy in for a bath last weekend, there was a beautiful silver one in there, but, his poor ears, they just didn't work on them long enough to get them stand right, they were up, but the tips were flopping all over the place..maybe not trimmed enough. Then, a dapple came in, I knew this person. They didn't have the ears done. Pretty dog too. I love your dogs ears. It just seems that this is what you think of when you .. think of..lol..a Dane.Nice straight up ears. Certain breeds, you just think of this look.
That sounds like the show crop. Mine has the bell crop. The difference is they connect the bottom of the ears to form a bell shape, it adds support. It is also a shorter crop. He has perfect dexterity of his ears, like that of a shepherd.

We had a Chow when I was a kid. Talk about lot's and lots of combing. I feel for you with the undercoat, but it's down hill after that. Do you leave the fur out for the birds? I remember how cute the birds were as they would snag the fuzz for their nests. So funny to watch them fly with big chunks of fur.
They are adorable! It's truly amazing how dogs play, all teeth and biting. But they are so gentle. What are your babies names?.
