We had at least 4 of them here this year. Usually we would see black snakes.

Looks like they shaved that poor cat, I believe this is what that cat looked like before getting shaved...fluffy body, but the miserable expression is the same

I actually feed my wild buzzard flock, cracked eggs, etc. They see me walking with "their bucket" straight back to the right corner of my lot, so they will leave the tree & glide with me, right above & behind me, as I walk. Passerby folks gawk with open mouths when they see that.

My daughter had a neighbor, who had a pet buzzard. She found it injured, when it was young, raised it with her baby chicks. It hung out with her barn cats and ate their leftovers.
It seemed pretty smart for a bird.
It died of old age.
