If you let chickens free ranging, is it a high possibility to get botulism?
And, if you feed chicken worms not grown on carcass or litres, will they get botulism? My hub had put some unhatched eggs in a bag, then it grows maggots, he gave them to the chickens to eat, is it likely that they will get botulism from this?

Botulism can be a problem if chickens or ducks eat animal or fish (or even vegetation) that have been decaying under water or buried underground, and become unearthed or after floodwater recedes. if there are maggots in the same area, or even mud, they still can get it from the botulinum toxin. Here is some reading about botulism: http://www.thepoultrysite.com/diseaseinfo/19/botulism/

I have heard only of chickens getting botulism from feed left lying on the ground that got wet.
