i agree we rely too much on the modern world and technology to do ever thing. as some one who grown up in it.
as for me, am kinda weird when it comes to old/vintage stuff. a few years back i got into collecting old fishing rods and reels, cleaning them up and using them to fish. for the price there hard to beat. (i have hundred dollar plus rods there nice but its tough to justify buying and using them when i can get a used old one for less then 10 dollars and are just as useful at catching fish)
but they sure are made to last (my oldest is about 60 years) i doubt some of my new rods would last half as long.
i also love collecting other vintage items.
