How do I increase the humidity in a still air incubator?

There should be channels in the bottom. Just fill them with water. You can also use sponges, if the channels aren't enough.
Remember, humidity is based on surface area of the water, not the depth, so the more area that has water, the higher the humidity will be.
Good luck!

Thank you for the tip about humidity! I don’t have channels though because we made an incubator out of a cooler

Then I'd use bowl(s) and sponge(s). Assuming you have at least one or two thermometers for temp and humidity?

You shouldn't need to add water until day 18 when lockdown starts.
Yes, I have a thermometer and a hygrometer. I tried the sponge thing, but it didn’t seem to help

Maybe some shallow bowls with sponges in them? You don't want open water where chicks can get to them, but if you have a grate, or shelf, etc, you might be able to use some without sponges.
Also, ventilation is very important in homemade incubators. Has a big effect on humidity too. Getting the right balance can be fun, I've heard. I've never made an incubator though.

I use cardboard .. i hang it into the channel so to maximise the surface area !!
