Incubating and hatching eggs chat thread!!

Eggs...... that's most of my goal with my birds lots of eggs..... in lots of colors......oh and colorful birds.....and not having to buy chicks... of course we eat the extera roos. So food and fun?

I'm not trying to put a damper on your goals,BUT fresh yard eggs normally go from 2.50$ to 3.50$ a dozen. It would be a lot safer and less expensive for a trial run. You can always give the chicks away. I bet if you look around you can find the breeds your looking for local. Ask around at the post office and the local grocery store. If you ask 5 people one of them will either have chickens or know who does.

As strange as it sounds, I was going to say, "No way, Nash... oddly I can't seem to find them around here!" But, I have found them on Craigslist under "hatching or fertile eggs".
