Incubating chicks WITHOUT shells!

Me and my kids watched the FB video and they keep bugging me to try it! I was wondering if they used any sort of special clear material when they incubated them? You would think they would've easily been able to get bacteria inside of them. Have you googled to see if you could find the actual written experiment and the instructions?

i have not checked for a materials list or instructions, but your comment about bacteria certainly sparked a thought. the egg has the bloom but the plastic wrap has no barrier for bacteria or pathogens

Yes, that's what I'm wondering, what measures they used to keep bacteria out. I've also heard of one experiment where they were able to replace a part of the shell with plexiglass and see inside the egg. That was done here in the states.
