Incubating Duck egg day 23

I had a lone duckling hatch out of a batch in a home made incubator. I put a mirror in with it and a stuffed animal. As soon as it was big enough to go outside I put it in a pen by itself next to all of the other ducks. When it was big enough to join them it was just fine and they all accepted him. Good luck with yours.

I wouldn't mist or use towels next time unless your climate is very dry. Mine is very humid and that looks like humidity death. Did your other duckling hatch? I sure hope so.

It’s a Pekin/mallard mix. I put a toy in there for it to rest on

Yes I plan on getting him/her some siblings in a week

I always call them her, karma hopes that will be true if I will it.
