Hi everyone! I am new to chicks and ducks. Only 6 months into it. I currently have 1 male and 1 female duck and am needing to hatch some eggs to get more females. My local farm stores only have ducks in the spring. Anyways, I am wanting to incubate 4 eggs and hope at least two hatch. My question is, since I only have one duck laying, do I leave the eggs on the counter until I have collected 4? Or what is the best way to go about this? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Most eggs are viable for 7-10 days. So u can collect them and store them pointy side down for around 7 days and incubate them together. This way u have a better chance of hatching more females.

They are doing great here are some pics all 6 made it

Rashid why would you have more females. I was also wondering since you put vinegar in water to keep them regular. Does that help like when horses have to have a female I think it is.

I have eggs from the chicks that I hatched in the bator now :D so I thought why not start the thread again. Currently Iam on day 2. Anyone else hatching anything?
