Incubating Duck eggs.

How early should I be able to see something going on in the eggs when I candle them?

I have some that have been incubating for 2 1/2 weeks and they look like duds. I have other eggs I can put in their spots if I can be sure they are not suddenly going to start incubating. Please let me know.

Depending upon how dark your eggs are and how good your light source is, you should be able to see development by day 7.

They are white and very clear, I can see the yolk clearly. No veins, no development at all that I can discern.

what breed are they, if muscovy it can take a bit loger than 7 days to show some major development,.
