Incubating eggs from Happy Chooks *They're Here! with pics!*

I'll have to try the pink cloth. Thanks for the tip!

You're not too far away. I'm east of Sacramento. (near Auburn) I was planning on listing an auction for the olive eggers, but the girls have decided to quit laying at the moment. In the last week, I've received 1 egg. I got all my test eggs out, then bammo, no more eggs.

My broody hatched out 5 of these olive egger babies. (2 boys and 3 girls) They are now 6 weeks old.

Keep an eye on the auctions though, if I'm able to gather enough to list, I will. I've had a few people ask me to list them again.

ETA: for clarification.

Than I'll PM you...

Hope the folks you sent the test eggs to will keep posting here--I'd like to see some pictures, folks!! Please post those little cutie-patooties when the eggs hatch! What's the countdown?

I am expecting a hatch on 11/18. I just tried to candle again and they are dark, so I probably wont be candling again. I'll be sure to take lots of photos and keep this post updated, it's the least I could do since I'm really just a "tester" of these eggs

dldolan.......PM me if you get a broody, and I'll see what I have. Maybe by then, my broody won't be broody anymore, and she'll be laying again. And now that I whined, I got a blue egg today.

aukuma......Thank you so much for the updates. I really appreciate it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for speckled olive eggs!

(at least that's what I want for mine!)

Eight more days till fluffy butts arrive!!! I am so "egg"cited!!! I started putting together our brooder. I just cant wait to see how many hatch!

After these babys, I'll be testing Ancona's for NAVA and I've asked to test some Icelandic's after those. I will definitely need two new coops! Got some making up to hubby to do

Gave them all one last turn and we are locked down. Hoping for a hatch Thursday. I candled and the two I was concerned about were still pretty clear. I opened both and it appears as though neither developed anything.

So for lock down we are down to 8 eggs.
