Incubating eggs to hatch about August 8th

I wish I had your bloody today. Thunderstorms kicked out power. Bator down to 85. M car is currently powering them to get the temps to settle.

Been way to lazy to figure out why our generator won't start up this year, I really have to address that... But, just in case I picked up a small cheap inverter (plenty enough for the draw of the incubators) at Harbor Freight for $20, I have two car batteries in the garage charged and ready to go... If the two batteries doesn't hold me, the Hummer has a built in inverter so I can idle that in the driveway with an extension cord worst case...

Here is the inverter I picked up, I used a 25% off coupon so it was under $20, my primary incubator only draws about 41 Watts with the fan and heating element running, the hatcher draws about 61 Watts fan and heater running, so I have plenty of overhead to run both...

Like I said I have not used it yet, but I figured it was cheap insurance...

We have a full fledged generator, in my husband's shop, with a dead battery, and it wouldn't crank for my with the pull handle. So my car sat in the driveway with an extension cord idoling. Unfortunatly, hubby is out of town as well as the kids so I was unaware there was power trouble untile I got home from work.

It is back on now and I am trying to stabilize the temps. I think they are good.

Don't know how detrimental it will be for development. I know broodys jump off the nest to eat/drink/poop, but I don't think it takes them 3 hours to do so.

For that amount of time, your eggs should be OK! I have read where people have lost power and still had a hatch

Not sure if the day the eggs are on matters or effects the outcome, but I think as long as your temps stabilize soon those babies will be ok!
