I have 2 Emu eggs in my Hovabator w/fan. It does a good job keeping the lower temp and here in FL I don't fill the water tray, I fill up a plastic cup to keep the humidity at 33%
Got my second egg today warming up the bator . this one was still warm so it has a great chance . am getting them at 5 day intervals if anyone would like to attempt it and are near columbia sc come and get one...
oh its 96.5-99.7 30 to35 humidity turn about 6 times a day (left right left right) at 49 days put in to the hatcher should pip out on 52-54 days

There is a thread around here somewhere on hatching them. This is my 2nd try, the first time was with shipped eggs and they were infertile. Up humidity close to hatch, around 50%

How far from hatch would you want to raise the humidity that high? At what time (if they are fertile) would you "know" someone is in there?
