Incubating Muscovy Duck eggs

Lily have you noticed any yellowing near the air cell?
No not yet all the air cells look just white and occasionally I can see black but it doesn't stay in the air cell it seems to come and then draw back so I don't think they have totally broken free of the membrane yet. That's not bad though since they are only day 30 today and personally I would rather they wait until tomorrow night or Sunday to start hatching since I am home next week lol.

Here's a pic of the yellow wring that started developing a couple of days ago but while I was taking the video I noticed the chick has internally pipped and I could see his beak moving in and out of the air pocket so I know for now he's alive and moving forward. I hope he makes it as far as external pip so I know he stands a chance at making it!

my duck eggs seem to be getting dark in the air cell, like it's turning blue and I can see the air cell without candling!

Mine don't have anything like that hopefully they are okay. I did see some beaks and or body parts pushing against the membrane. No external pips yet and I am not hearing any cheeping yet but I raised the humidity up to 63% and dropped the temp down to 98.5 according to the guide. So far so good. I would love to check them out and see what's going on but I don't want to jynx it. Going to wait until Monday and then will candle again and see what's going on.

So excited that you have internal pips. Can you hear them cheeping? I wonder if mine aren't actually internal pips and they are just not making noise yet. Fingers crossed for your hatch.

No im not hearing anything yet but there's a lot going on with two of the eggs. One egg im a little concerned with I see movement but no pushing or anything. Im going to see what happens by the morning. Im hoping for a miracle :)

@subhanalah One of ours is doing the same thing now I don't know if that means the shell is changing but I did candle the egg thinking the duckling may have died and it hadn't I could see the bill moving around in there.

@LilyD any change to your eggs? I haven't seen any external pip yet and I don't know if it should take this long or not!

None so far still waiting for external pip if there is none by tomorrow I will be putting in an air hole next to the internal pip so they can get more air. Everyone is still moving in their eggs. but so far no babies yet.

mine that internally pipped still has not externally pipped and it's been close to 24 hours so I'm freaking out not sure what to do! I just messaged another person I found on here that incubated muscovys and she said her's took 24 to 30 hours for the external. I also think I lost one because there's no movement at all and I don't know what to do! Can you see the beaks in the air cells yet?

Yes I can see beaks in some of them, in others I can see whole body parts in the air cell so I think they are just pushing up on the membrane and haven't actually internally pipped yet. So far I am not hearing any cheeping yet. Today is day 33 for us. If nothing happens by tomorrow morning I will put a 1/8 inch hole in each egg so that they can get air. Then I will leave them for another day to see if they can hatch on their own.
