Oh yeah, these are definitely not Coturnix! I know nothing about variation in Bobwhites...but Google images had pics of bobwhite chicks and they seem similar?

They have crests it seems, so some type of new world Quail. The head markings look sort of like mearns, but mearns are usually very pricey. @007Sean might know.

Yes those look like bobwhites.But the eggs are wrong and the long strands on head seem too long.

Color wise those would be regular bobs.I can take pics of 100s of eggs and you won't see 1 with even 1 speck on it.Valley or gambel yes but those are not either of those.

I am lost as to what kind of quail I hatched it is cool to see that there are so many breeds but also confusing trying to find the one that I have

I can understand your confusion! Hard to know what they need if you don’t know what they are!

90% of the time it would be bobwhites or Coturnix, then like 5% of the time buttons. The others mentioned are more unusual, especially from someone who raises them, sells them, but couldn’t tell his buyers the breed.
