Just found this thread from last year, I made a separate one in the new year. We had a predator disaster, cats! Being new and oblivious to chicken keeping I thought allowing the chicks to have some ‘free range time’ in the garden would be clever, but being inexperienced I only focused on making sure no chicks could escape, but didn’t think about predators getting in. Went inside for 10 minutes and 4 of my 5 silkies had been taken I guess it was a learning curve for me but such a shame. Can't wait to see updated photos!
